Family

I am so excited to introduce a new kind of family session for 2013! For a while now I’ve been trying to figure out how to photograph families the way I photograph my own boys… in action. I have found the best photos of my own family are when we are involved in some kind of activity. Many times I use my little ones as my models to scope out new places. My 6 year old, Brett, calls these photo-shoots our “photo adventures.” Here are some photos of our adventure hiking in Patapsco State Park this past fall:

As some of you may know my husband and I own a Winnebago Motorhome and we travel all over from April through November. While photographing my sister’s family camping together with us last fall I realized how wonderful it would be to offer other families the same type of experience. Here is a slideshow of images I from our trip together at the beautiful Shanendoah Crossing in Gordonsville, VA…

Obviously I cannot take all of my clients camping with me (but with two campgrounds close by a camping themed shoot is a possibility!) but there are plenty of offerings in and around the Anne Arundel County area that we could use for a “Family Adventure Photo Session.”

So, give me a call… my plan for the session is to talk to you on the phone to see what types of things your family likes to do. Then we will plan the day together and estimate the amount of hours we will need. Most of the time I will be following you around with my camera but there will be times I may stop you to quickly get that “Christmas Card Shot.” If you are a family that camps or RV’s I would love to talk to you about meeting up at a beautiful campground somewhere.

The sitting fee for the family adventure sessions is $325 per hour of shooting plus the price of tickets or entry fees. Prints and albums are sold seperately. Type book in the search engine on this site to get an idea of what an album may look like.

Think about how much fun your family would have and how beautiful the photos would be in the following places…

Winter:
Outdoor Ice Skating at Quiet Waters or Glen Burnie Ice Rink
Bowling
B and O Railroad Museum
Aquarium
Football Tailgating
Waterfowl Hunting

Spring:
Camping
Patapsco State Park Hiking
Fishing
Biking
Baseball Game/ Camden Yards Tour

Summer:
Chesapeake Pirate Adventures
Boating on the Bay
Ropes Course
Beach Day
Patapsco State Park Hiking
Baseball Game/ Camden Yards Tour
Waterpark Day
and Camping!

Fall:
Apple picking
Pumpkin Patch
Farm Day
Patapsco State Park
Horseback Riding
Touring Annapolis
Waterfowl Hunting (yes, I own my own Advantage Max 4HD gear!)
and Camping!

Remember, I have a teaching degree so there may just be a little bit of education in our session. I am open to almost any legal activity so be creative! But, I have a slight confession. I am extremely claustrophobic…so I may not be able to photograph any caving adventures and most likely I will skip an elevator ride and head for the stairs. Give me a call, I would love to hang out with your family! 443-534-7786
