Close-up ~3 of 52

Week 3 of my 52 week challenge is a close-up shot.

In October my niece had a milestone birthday and my sister went all out!  She rented rooms at the Hyatt in Cambridge for my niece’s friends and rented a limo bus to get everyone there.  After a day of swimming in the fab Hyatt pool we dressed up and went to a super fun dance party complete with a DJ and photo booth.  My boys LOVED the photo booth props and I was able to capture a few close-ups of my crazy youngest as he ran/danced by.

Colorful~ 2 of 52

Welcome to week 2.  Colorful!

I just loved how colorful the girls outfits were in this early November session.  They look great against the silver water of the Severn River. It really shows off their personality and made for a wonderful Christmas Card.

Self Portrait 1 of 52

Hello there and Happy New Year! I am sure everyone is busy working and setting their New Years Resolution for 2014.  That title you see up there with those numbers is one of my resolutions- to communicate with you more (actually 52 times at least!) So, I am partaking in a 52 week photo challenge. Sort of. I have many, many photos that you may not have seen sitting on my computer from 2013. I am going to use the 52 week photo challenge to get my images out there!

I will be using the 2013 list since almost all of the images you will see will be from 2013.  Most images will be of clients, some will be of our travels in our RV and some will be of my boys and sweet pup.  If you want to get these images straight to your inbox- along with all kinds of specials and fun info-just sign up for my newsletter here:

So, here goes, number 1 of 52 is a self portrait.  It is really important to get yourself out in front of the camera.  It doesn’t matter how fat you think you are or how bad your hair looks… in a few years your family will look at the photo and say wow- “look how good mom looks!”  This is a portrait me and my best behaved child takenn by my dear cousin and extraordinary assistant, Brittany.  You will see this image as my new profile over at Facebook- (click on the left sliding box). See you next week!

13th Birthday Blast! in Cambridge, Maryland

A few weekends ago I packed up my bags, my boys and headed east over the Bay Bridge to the Hyatt in Cambridge for Megan’s 13th birthday bash.

Meg is my oldest niece and she shares her birthday with my youngest niece, Madden and both girls share their birthday with my sister’s wedding anniversary… Got all that?  So, my sister wanted to make sure Megan’s 13th birthday was extra special.  She rented a party bus to pick up 16 of Meg’s closest friends and whisked them away for a girls weekend.  (I’m secretly getting my sister to plan my next birthday celebration!)  Here are some highlights of the weekend…

Annapolis Tween and Child Photographer

As we start the first day of school for the kiddos it is time to start thinking about school pictures.  As a full time teacher, I see first hand the limited time that school photographers have with your children… (it is less than a minute!) It is definitely not enough time to showcase your child’s true personality.  I know that I am never satisfied with how I look in my school photo- are you satisfied with how your little ones look year after year?

Take a look at the portraits of the sweet ladies below.  These photos look so much better than the traditional school pictures and really capture the beauty of the girls.  Before you drop a big chunk of change on a pre-paid package think about meeting up with me this fall for some fun and beautiful portrait sessions!
The girls met me on a  summer morning in Annapolis. They were getting ready for a pageant and needed some new headshots. Mom also figured this was a good time to get the Christmas card photos out of the way. I LOVE the outfits the girls are wearing. Big sis’s whole outfit is from JCrew. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pants, top sweater, shoes everything!
All of my packages include a “what to wear” guide and I also have an entire board pinned on my Pinterest board of great what to wear ideas.

30 minute mini sessions in Pasadena begin at $475 and always include complimentary touch-ups and airbrushing.  The sitting fee also includes all the images on a flashdrive (usually 20+ images) and a 5×7 of each image.
Email me at meadowsmoments@verizon.net to book your child’s back to school session.
