Landscape ~8 of 52

Most of my landscapes are blurry. It’s because my dear husband won’t slow down the RV for me to get my photo. I love beach landscapes and since you can’t drive the RV on the beach I have plenty of time to get that perfect shot. One of my favorite landscapes to photograph is the sea scape of Chincoteague, VA. I will be spending a large portion of my summer in Chincoteague this year so if you would like a family session with this amazing backdrop – shoot me an e-mail!- I will also travel to Ocean City as well!

Red ~7 of 52

I’ve been told red is not my color. Since I colored my hair darker I’ve been trying harder and harder to wear more red especially an awesome cardigan I bought just before Christmas that goes with leggings and I can eat whatever I want!

Tomorrow is not only Valentines Day but it is also my pup’s first birthday and my nephew’s birthday too! Here are some pics of when we picked up our pup and my boy’s Valentines for their schoolmates from last year.

Hands~ 6 of 52

Week 6 in the 52 week challenge needed a little interpreting. Hands. The first thing that comes to mind for me is when a bride and groom turn to face each other and take each other’s hands.

Last year, about this time, our family gathered together for brunch on Superbowl Sunday (big Raven’s fans here). It was to celebrate my Grandfather’s birthday and to also celebrate that my Grandparents took each other’s hand 65 years ago in July.

I love these non serious shots of them together and how my Grandfather’s hand is around the shoulder of my Grandma.

Natural Light ~5 of 52

5 weeks in January!  Number 5 of the 52 week challenge is Natural Light.  I LOVE Natural Light (and I’m not talking about the beer either).  Everyone just looks better without a flash on them.  In November 2013 I traveled to the Cacapon State Park in Berkeley Springs WV to photograph a few families.  http://www.cacaponresort.com/ There is no better use of natural light than in such a beautiful natural setting. webIMG_3488webIMG_3528webIMG_3540

Bokeh~ 4 of 52

Bokeh for week 4.  I love bokeh and I try to incorporate it in every photo.  Bokeh is the blurry or hazy element in a photo’s background.  My favorite bokeh is done when the sun is setting through a wooded area.  The lights off of the tree leaves creates a stunning bokeh.  Check out the bokeh in these headshots.
