and… LETS GO RAVENS:)

Well, we’ve been very busy traveling this summer and finally it’s time to update the poor old neglected blog.  Take a visit to my wedding and travel site later this week- www.meadowsdestinations.com -t0 see where we’ve been and what we’ve been up to!

Back in May I was lucky to meet up with Pam and Matt for a maternity session before Matt left to fight for our freedom. You can see that session here. http://meadowsmoments.com/blog/?p=191

We pray everyday for Daddy’s safe retun to his little guy…  here’s L at 8 days old…

and a little peek at his birth announcement- which come with all my newborn sessions!

I took one look at baby D and OH MY GOODNESS! I usually don’t feel the pang when I photograph newborns but I was really feeling the pang with this sweet little girl.  She was a dream to photograph and I seriously thought about slipping her into my camera bag!  We had so much fun dressing her up and she let us do anything!  It’s photos like these that make me think about trying for a girl…

This spring I met up with three awesome kiddos and their Mom at my favorite park in Pasadena for a 30 minute session.  Aren’t they so cute? The little one with the pigtails… totally melted my heart:)

Last month I met up with Baby E’s Mom, Dad and Big Brother for an awesome beach and park maternity session.  Last week I got to hang out with him for the afternoon for his newborn session.  Welcome Baby E!

A few weeks ago I met up with Amy and Andy for a fun engagement session at the park in Pasadena.  Here is just one of my favorites from their session.  To see the rest please visit my wedding and travel site at www.meadowsdestinations.com  We are counting down the days until their June wedding!

It’s almost time!  I have known Justin for a very, very long time so I was thrilled when his family hired me to photograph such a special time in his life.  Congrats Justin!

It’s never too late to schedule senior portraits and I am now scheduling for the class of 2011.  Senior portraits tons of fun- bring friends, changes of clothes, your pet, your car anything!  We’ll meet on location and spend a few hours with you as the model.  Justin chose my favorite park…Downs…

In March I met up with some fantastic families for a day of mini sessions at the park.   30 minute mini sessions are available all the time on weekday afternoons at the park and are only $50 with no minimum purchase.  Feel free to e-mail me to schedule a mini session.

Recently I met up with the “F” family for an awesome beach maternity session right here in Pasadena! Mr. J is super excited about his baby brother!

I love this series and Mama held him up there for a long time!  These are little Mr. J’s favorite.

A fun shot in the garden-

J and Dad practicing piggy back before baby brother arrives…

My favorite from the day… Daddy had a matching “Big Guy” shirt…

Baby E will be here soon make sure you check back to see his newborn photos!  Don’t forget Mother’s Day is around the corner!  A Stacy Meadows gift card or session would make a perfect gift for the new Mommy in your life!

Mini Sessions:  I have one spring mini session open for March 20th at the 3:30 pm time slot.  Thirty minute mini sessions are only a $50 session fee and 10% off regular prices for prints and products.  Mini sessions are a great way to update photos of your little ones.

I will also be available for both full on location and mini (park) sessions all day on Tuesday, March 30th and Thursday, April 1st.  Anne Arundel Co. schools are on spring break- so it is a great way to get a session in while the kids are home.  The full session weekday fee is less than the weekend session fee so contact me if you are interested in the opportunity of booking a session on those days.

On my calendar:  I’m booking about 4 weeks out for sessions. Except for newborn shoots, March is completely booked with the exception of March 30th. April and May still have some available dates and June weekends are booking out fast!  I only have 1 Saturday and a handful of Sundays left in June.  Please contact me early if you want to schedule a session or event.  I frequently book 9-12 months out for sessions and over 12 months out for a wedding.  If you have a friend or family member who is looking for professional portraits please forward this blog post.  Anyone who refers a booking friend receives a $50 gift certificate to Stacy Meadows Photography.

On a personal note: Last night we signed up my Brett for T-ball.  My husband, who was the baseball superstar of his day, was very nostalgic and saying things like “he will have these baseball friends for life”  and telling Brett, “the most important part of the game is to keep your eye on the ball.”

On the other hand, I was very nervous that Brett has inherited my athletic ability and will fall off the bench like I did when I was four!  Believe me, there was a reason I was sitting on the bench!

Now Grant, my little one who will be 2 in July, I have no worries about. We walked out to the batting cages last night, Grant walked up to the fence where the softballs were being chucked out of the shoot at 60 mph, and without any prompting he squatted down as close to the fence as he could get, like he was going to catch.  We were totally impressed since catcher was one of my husband’s positions!

The boys are headed out this week to get some baseball stuff and I’m looking for a new long lens to make sure I get all the action!

Be sure to check out the blog in the coming weeks for some baseball pictures- and please say a little prayer for me that he runs the right way, towards first not third base!
