Taking the Leap on Leap Day!

I was very excited to photograph Laura and John’s intimate wedding on the Eastern Shore on Leap Day. John and Laura’s ceremony included Wiccan Handfasting where their hands were tied together as they answered questions about their intentions for their life together. After the handfasting they placed their roping with knots intact on a piece of wood that had been burnished with significant symbols and their wedding date. The total in attendance were 6 people including me. It rained most of the day for this outdoor waterfront park wedding but both Laura and John were troopers and we grabbed some fun boots and cute panda umbrellas and made the best of it. The rain actually stopped during the ceremony and the sun started to peak through the clouds! We substituted an engagement session with signature book for a coffee table style album. Laura and John decided to infuse their favorite movie quotes and I love how the book turned out! I can’t wait to see it in person.

The T Family’s Coffee Table Book

I met up with the T boys recently for a fun lifestyle family session. We used the photos of the boys playing at the park on the beach to create a fun coffee table style book that Mom had printed for all of the Grandparents. It is the second book I’ve created for this family and Mom said the albums were a huge hit again this year! I think those are some lucky Grandparents!

Maryland Family Photographer Stacy Meadows Meet the W Family

As soon as the W family stepped out of the car I was so excited! I loved everything that they wore and I swore that Mom had help from a stylist! These sweet sisters reminded me so much my sister and I when we were little. I was the blue girl and my sister was the pink girl! We met at the park at sunset for a quick session that resulted in fantastic family photos.

Ocean City, MD Destination Beach Wedding

In October I traveled to Ocean City, Maryland to photograph Bethany and Todd’s rehersal dinner and beautiful destination beach wedding.  I took along my fellow Annapolis Women Photography member Wendy Hickok not only as a traveling companion but to work with side by side to capture the beautiful purple and orange details as well as Bethany and Todd’s 30 person wedding party!  Wendy and I had a great time and we discovered we both love greasy spoons after eating breakfast in Ocean City’s infamous Generals Kitchen.   I am so thankful for Wendy’s talent and her wide angle lens so we could get fun shots of that huge wedding party jumping on the beach!

Ocean City Rehersal Dinner

In October I traveled to Ocean City to photograph Bethany and Todd’s Ocean City Beach Wedding. Included in their package was either rehersal dinner coverage or a morning after session. I was excited that Bethany and Todd chose to photograph their rehersal dinner at the beautiful Costa Ventosa Vinyard in Whaleyville, MD just outside of Ocean City. Come back to the blog tomorrow as I am posting my favorites from their wedding day! Can’t wait until tomorrow? Check out their wedding day photos on my wedding page.
